THIS JUST IN - AT 10:50 A.M. ET:  Important news from the Miami Herald:

CARACAS -- Venezuela has announced its U.S.-based oil company Citgo is donating an island in the Delaware River to the state of New Jersey.

Alejandro Granado, president of Houston-based Citgo, said the donation shows a commitment by President Hugo Chávez's government to environmental conservation. New Jersey's Natural Lands Trust board agreed in January to accept Citgo's donation of Petty's Island, which was previously used for fuel storage and is located in the Delaware River between Pennsauken and Philadelphia.

COMMENT:  You see what a little handshake between friends like Barack Obama and Hugo Chavez can do?  We get an island.  With a slap on the back, who knows?  Maybe a time-share in Caracas.
